Democrats and Republicans don’t hear the same news

    Categories: Points of View

What you know as a Republican or conservative is irrelevent.

Kamala Harris comments regarding border security will be heard by her people, Democrats, through the filter of mainstream media. Her people will just say, “Heck yeah! She’s right”, because they don’t have a clue what’s happening or they are just to entrenched to admit it.

    Remember:

Inflation is under control or it’s Trumps fault

Gas prices are coming down or it’s Trump’s fault

Crime is not a problem or it’s Trump’s fault

Border security is under control or it’s Trump’s fault

    Facts about inflation

It’s important to remember that the purchasing power (money) you lost during the height of inflation is GONE.

The root cause of inflation is still in office. This doesn’t go away just because the media says inflation is slowing.

    America at a crossroads

We live in an America at a crossroads. The Democrat party has been taken over by socialist. Or as Bill Ayres would say, communist with a small “c”. To a socialist everything thing to the right of their ideology as fascist. Their playbook is the same used in every communist country in the world. Chaos, violence, misinformation, and name calling. Identify problems, true or false, and declare they can fix it. It’s always the same, race, wealth distribution, freedom, corruption. Nothing ever changes but the power shift and the loss of your freedom. That’s the price of the socialist fix. They are in charge.

If you think Democracy is being threatened by Republicans, answer some simple question in your mind:

    • Who has limited your freedom over the past two years?
    • Who has mandated vaccinations in the past two years?
    • Who has imprisoned those that disagree with their view, namely abortion?
    • Who has raided homes of private citizens for having a different view?

You may not share all the views of conservative Republicans, but you must surely see who is threatening your democracy.

If you agree with them, so be it. You too are a threat to democracy. Some people like socialism. The cradle to grave concept with no control over your life appeals to the few. They then impose it on the many.

That’s not what this country is about, and most people get that. If you pursue the path to socialism, I’m sure you’ll be disappointed.

    Christine Jorgensen and me

I have a problem with the freak show that is the liberal movement. I understand that to expand their base and rope in liberal thinking people you must draw from the fringe of society. I don’t profess to be an expert of gender identity. The main reason for that is that I think it’s a fake science. People pushing this agenda have a goal not a knowledge. From the goal of converting and creating chaos comes a faux knowledge that has become science.

I do however have some historical prospective and experience from before most of these trans junkings were born. I had the pleasure of meeting and becoming a close acquaintance Christine Jorgesen in the mid-70s. I was in my mid-20s and she in her mid-50s. Admittedly I didn’t know who she was at first. And I was quite shocked when I found out. She was ultimately a nice, gracious lady and took no offense at my awkwardness. As a “pioneer” she was very quite and unassuming. There was nothing militant or flamboyant.

I often wonder what she would think about the about the butcher shop approach of modern day trans science if she were alive today. The indoctrination of children and the outcry of “see me”, I’m a tranny. I believe she would be appalled.

One can only wonder what would be different if the gay/tran movement didn’t fly flags, paint signs, hold protest, and try to beat acceptance into the masses.

Social Media, Cancer of the mind

What drives people to social media?

It’s actually quite simple. People like to be liked. Research shows that when a social media user gets “Liked” or received positive feedback, it fires off the old “dopamine receptor”, the feel-good hormone. Social media giants take advantage of this to raid your brain and make you suggestable. So is being liked really that important so as to give up your soul to belong. I don’t think so. SMU’s (social media users) exhibit several traits that, in any other context, are destructive. It doesn’t matter if you’re 16 or 60, momentary thrill of being liked by anonymous people, (who may be bots), erodes your brain. Artificial self-worth is worthless and fleeting. See how
many of these traits you see when you look in the mirror.

    User traits:

ab-Noxious – as the saying goes “opinions are like assholes, everybody has one”. But is it worth sharing? SMUs share because
they can no matter how lame the opinion.

Needy – please like me. Please help me. I can’t find a plumber or if I give you a thumb’s up will you like me too?

Naive – in many cases SMUs have no idea with whom they are interacting. It could be that sweet 16-year-old high school student or retired schoolteacher who’d like to meet for coffee. But it could just as easily be the boogie man.

a-Nnoying – a large number of SMUs are just downright annoying. Reading their post or comment on a post makes you want to throttle them.

Narcissistic – what’s a narcissist without and audience? Nothing.

For the sake of your mental health, reevaluate your social media presence. In many cases your simply supplies information to an invisible giant to be used against you. In some cases, it’s more sinister.

    America in Chaos

Socially acceptable behavior was based on behavioral “guide rails” and generally enforced by a proper upbringing and, if that wasn’t present, law enforcement. If there was abnormal behavior it was recognized as quickly as possible and society was protected from dangerous behavior. This was the ideal of civilized people living together.

When a group of people decide to remake society to their liking, socialist, islamist, fascist, etc., they most first disrupt the normal activity to cause anxiety, chaos, fear, anger, and discontent. Otherwise no one would be drawn to their ideology.

We’re in the middle of that disruption. Socialist don’t let up. They press on. Gas prices, inflation, crime, none of these effect them since they are the tools of change.

If you want our country back, now is the time to start the progress by ridding government of the socialist ideology.

Going to hell in a hand basket

There was once a standard of behavior for adults. One might stray occasionally, but most adhered to what was considered “adult behavior”. Political figures, ministers, police officers, educators, etc, were generally held to a higher standard. There have always been the wing-nut, degenerates, provocateurs, entertainers, who provided the contrast in society. There was a clear distinction.

Now the normal people want to get attention like the deviants. Now they dress in drag, get all tattooed up, get all pierced up, and say and do outlandish things on social media. Will decency return? Not if the deviants have their way.

    The definitive answer for reparations.

“Well I think you’re right about reparations in terms of – if people want it though, what they need to do is, you always need to go back to the beginning of the supply chain. Where was the beginning of the supply chain?” she asked.

“That was in Africa,” she continued. “Across the entire world, when slavery was taking place, which was the first nation in the world that abolished slavery?” It was “the British,” Fordwich declared, adding, “In Great Britain they abolished slavery. 2,000 naval men died on the high seas trying to stop slavery. Why? Because the African kings were rounding up their own people. They had them [in] cages, waiting in the beaches.”

She concluded, “I think you’re totally right. If reparations need to be paid, we need to go right back to the beginning of that supply chain and say, ‘Who was rounding up their own people and having them handcuffed in cages. Absolutely, that’s where they should start.”

Where your rights and mine begin……………….and end!

Variations on a common conception of individual rights!

    • The right to swing my fist ends where the other man’s nose begins.
    • The right to swing my arms in any direction ends where your nose begins.
    • My right to swing my fist ends where your nose begins.

Each side takes the position of the man who was arrested for swinging his arms and hitting another in the nose, and asked the judge if he did not have a right to swing his arms in a free country. “Your right to swing your arms ends just where the other man’s nose begins.”

Interestingly, the genesis of this adage can be traced back more than thirty-five additional years. Several variants of the expression were employed by a set of lecturers who were aligned with the temperance movement which favored restrictions on the sale and consumption of alcohol in the United States. The earliest instance located by QI appeared in a collection of speeches that were delivered by John B. Finch who was the Chairman of the Prohibition National Committee for several years in the 1880s and died in 1887.

The saying Finch used was somewhat longer and clumsier than later versions of the aphorism. But the central idea was the same, and Finch received credit from some of his colleagues. It is common for expressions to be shortened and polished as they pass from one speaker to another over a period of years. Here is the relevant excerpt from an oration Finch gave in Iowa City in 1882.

This arm is my arm (and my wife’s), it is not yours. Up here I have a right to strike out with it as I please. I go over there with these gentlemen and swing my arm and exercise the natural right which you have granted; I hit one man on the nose, another under the ear, and as I go down the stairs on my head, I cry out:

“Is not this a free country?”

    “Yes, sir.”

“Have not I a right to swing my arm?”

“Yes, but your right to swing your arm leaves off where my right not to have my nose struck begins.”

Here civil government comes in to prevent bloodshed, adjust rights, and settle disputes.
